Rye love

I now have new appreciation for Rye and Spelt. I always thought it was gluten that made me bloat and feel sleepy sluggish so I began to dig a little deeper.  The medieval grains are different and approved by me.  I am breaking up with wheat, bitter sweet relationship I love it yet it ruins me .... It's that simple!!  I have tried eliminating it and reintroducing it yet again and again it's an epic fail. So farewell wheat you are adored by many and I know you will not miss me, I am off to experiment with your older cousins hehe.

The rye loathes are odd, rectangles and very doughy - yet full of flavour and nutrients.  My energy is starting to pick up and I believe rye has played a big part in that so far.

Why did I think to try rye, well I googled why are the people in Germany so healthy and I was hit with rye after rye answer.  I then looked into wheat allergies and decided let's try other grains!!

I am so glad I did, I just feel normal, wheat IMHO has been to messed around with to be taken seriously as a real food these days.

Spelt cereal has been well received by my body along with the rye bread.  Now it's my turn to try some baking in the weeks to come do wish me luck hehe.

I gave up on trying to be vegan/vegetarian as I did not fare well on it - my face went ice cold numb and blue.  I now try more veggy dishes and moderate my meat rations.  I believe we do need meats and that respect of life for the sacrifice given must be acknowledged and gratitude shown. One day my remains will go back into the system for a place in the circle of life and that is how I now move forward ✌️💛😁
